Marathon Beach Resort - Nea Makri

3-star beachfront hotel in Nea Makri with historic art deco design and direct access to the sea

Rooms & Accommodations

Marathon Beach Resort Nea Makri offers rooms and suites with balconies overlooking the Euboean Gulf, the saltwater swimming pool, or the lush gardens. The hotel's architecture blends art deco, tropical, and Mediterranean elements, a style that defined its status as a historical destination hotel from the '70s, '80s, and '90s. Each room includes air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and an open design closet, with minibars available upon request.

Dining & Bars

Breakfast is served in the room or at the poolside restaurant, which also offers lunch and dinner with international cuisine and local specialties. The pool bar provides drinks and snacks throughout the day, while an indoor restaurant caters to guests preferring a quieter setting. Complimentary towels and water are provided, and a mini market on site sells essentials.

Wellness & Recreation

The wellness area offers spa and beauty treatments including facials, body scrubs, massages, and manicures. A tennis court and bicycle rental provide active recreation, while the saltwater swimming pool has a shallow end for children. Yoga classes and evening entertainment round out the daily schedule.

Location & Nearby Attractions

The hotel is located across the street from a sandy beach with shallow waters, and within walking distance of local restaurants and shops. Marathon Lake, Attica Zoo, and the ecological protected Schinias forest are all within a short drive. A complimentary airport shuttle service is available, and free public parking is possible nearby.

Family & Pet-Friendly Services

The property includes a separate children's pool, a playground, and board games and puzzles for younger guests. Babysitting and child services can be arranged at the reception, and family rooms are spacious enough for two adults and two children.
